From Chaos is a Google Chrome extension that turns the visible data on a webpage into organized data through ChatGPT.

What's it used for?

Sometimes when browsing a website, I want to turn the content on the page into structured data, so I can import it places and process it programmatically. I built FromChaos with that exact purpos in mind.

How do I use it?

Initial Setup

First, sign up for an OpenAI account and get an API key. Then, install the extension, and add the key in your settings.

Using The Extension

Navigate to a page, and click the extension - a popup will appear. Describe what you want to happen to the data on the page, like "list out all the restaurants and any signature dishes they have". Choose your data type, and click submit. You'll then get results that you can copy or download as a file.

General Notes

Keep in mind, this extension makes API calls to the OpenAI api, so make sure to check your account's usage to make sure you don't have any surprise bills.
